Friday, December 3, 2021 Charles Collectibles and Books LLC participated as an exhibitor for the City of Southfield Annual Tree Lighting Ceremony. Sponsored by the Mayor’s Office and the Parks and Recreation Department over 200 people braved the cold weather.

Families enjoyed several performances by local talented youngsters, drank hot chocolate, feasted on smores, observed ice carving, and saw a live rain deer while enjoying the official tree lighting ceremony. Residents of Southfield and other communities supported Charles Collectibles and Books LLC buy purchasing a diverse line of children’s books and African American children’s puzzles. Many of the attendees said they loved the wide selection of black books and other resources.

Several people indicated that their looking forward to the City of Southfield Soulful Santa Event on Saturday, December 11, 2021. Seeing an African American Santa will be the start of a tradition for many families.
