Sunday, June 19, 2022 - Bay City, Michigan – Charles Collectibles and Books LLC participated as a proud vendor at the Inaugural NAACP Juneteenth Celebration. The event took place in historic and scenic downtown Bay City’s Riverfront Amphitheater. A diverse crowd gathered for a full day of food, health screenings and education. Residences and visitors of this small resort town had an opportunity to learn about the history of Juneteenth and its significance to the African American Community.

Last year, President Joseph Biden signed into law making Juneteenth the newest Nationally celebrated federal holiday. While the turnout was modest, Ali Smith and Darold Newton of Bay City’s NAACP Local Chapter look forward to a bigger and better celebration next year with support from area communities like Midland and Saginaw.
