2022 City of Southfield Annual Black History Program kicks of a Month of Excellence

Saturday, February 5, 2022 - Charles Collectibles and Books LLC participated in The City of Southfield, Michigan hosted its Annual Black History Program as a month-long celebration of excellence. Held at the City of Southfield Parks and Recreation Pavilion, hundreds of residences and non-residence braved freezing temperatures to hear speeches from young people, see dance performances, while attending the traveling African American Traveling Museum. People also had an opportunity to support African American Businesses and Non-Profit Organizations.

National spoken word and Hip-Hop pioneer Professor Griff from the legendary group Public Enemy was present and stopped by to purchase several Black History Posters to add to his personal collection. A great time was had by attendees and many people are looking forward to additional celebrations every weekend through February.
