Wednesday, August 16th, 2023 - The 137 Annual Michigan AME Church Conference convened at the Detroit Marriott Renaissance Hotel. More than 200 attendees from across Michigan gathered to praise the Lord, determine how to better serve their communities and handle church business. Charles Collectibles and Books LLC was proud to serve as one of a select group of exhibitors for this year’s conference sponsored by Vernon AME Church of Detroit.

The AME Church delegates heard from actor, author and activist Hill Harper who is running for one of Michigan’s two United States Senate seats in 2024. Charles Young, owner and CEO is pictured with candidate Harper. Several churches purchased educational resources for their churches. CCandBooks sincerely thanks the pastors of Immanuel Grace AME of Detroit for enhancing and encouraging literacy for its youngest members by purchasing a large quantity of books.

It was great to see them believe in the proverb, reach one, teach one so that the next generation of future leaders will be prepared for the future.
